Hey Y’all! So this weekend my mom and I went to Tjmaxx and found some great stuff   for spring along with great gift ideas for Valentine’s Day along with Easter. I am super excited to try this shampoo by Biosilk, honestly the bottles looked really cool so now I am hoping I like the shampoo as well (haha). This Michale Kors fanny pack was only $24.00 and at first when I picked it up I was totally joking about getting it and then I wore it around the store and it is the most practical accessory I have ever worn! Kind of tempted to wear it to class, don’t hate. I had a great time at home this weekend with my friends and family I was so sad to come back to school and study. I hope I have inspired you to go to your local Tjmaxx to hunt for great deals, because let’s get real, thats the best part of going! My roommate and I are those people who google the item in the store and see what the original retail price was because we are extra and need to tell everyone the DEAL we got!

Loving this hot pink sweater for Valentine’s Day this week and plus it is a great transition color for spring! Sorry for not posting but I have had a busy weekend and a ton of homework. I got this sweater from J.Crew in the fall and am completely in love with the ruffles! My jeans came from Marshall’s because you know your girl is always looking for a deal. This Tory Burch purse I got for Christmas and it is honestly the perfect size purse for everything! Throwing on my favorite pair of loafer slides and I am unstoppable! I hope everyone had a terrific Tuesday!

Be Still & Listen

Today during my quiet time I felt so discouraged, all my friends are either getting married, having babies, or getting job promotions. I am still in college so of course I have friends that are in the same position as me but today as I was scrolling through social media I felt like I hadn’t done anything with my life except be a student and I was sitting there wishing I was out of school, wishing I was getting married, wishing I was getting promoted. I was WISHING my life away. I felt like I was walking in sadness and disappointment instead of trusting and praising God. I felt lead to read Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you be strong and courageous for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” This assured me that God has a plan for my life and even though I don’t understand it now and it seems scary he has something great in store for me. I need to STOP wishing my life away and put it all in his hands, trust and follow him and his plan will become apart of my life. I can’t figure everything out on my own and if I try to it will be like trying to heard cats. Ultimately, God knows my heart and he will do his very best to give me the desires of it. God can do the same for you if you just trust in him.

What is in my gym bag?

IMG_5229IMG_5105IMG_5059

Hoodie and Leggings: Lululemon

Today I am off to the gym getting ready for spring break, a few must haves of mine are always to bring a sweat shirt because I don’t know why but I personally am always cold after a hard work out. I also bring along my favorite pair of Adidas running shoes they are great for lifting weights because they are heavier at the bottom so your ankles don’t turn. My light pink Corkcicle water bottle keeps the water cold and it is easy to keep up with since it is a bright color, I can not tell you how many times I have lost my water bottle at the gym, thankfully I have managed to keep up with this one. Next I throw some body spray and some wet wipes into my bag because I don’t like showering at the gym I think that is kinda gross. This particular body spray is my new favorite scent from Bath & Body Works, its called Champagne Toast. To make sure I am prepared and full of energy before the gym I try and get a good nights rest. In the morning I take the Oily women’s multi vitamin, these are the best vitamins I have ever taken they don’t leave a bad after taste and they are great for your hair and nails. The CeraVe Renewing Cream is just a good face/body lotion to keep in your gym bag to help take off your makeup or to put on your dry hands in the winter. Finally, I aways drink this Protein Primer before hitting the gym, I buy these from Costco and they taste really good. I hope y’all are inspired to hit the gym now, as I write this post I am currently eating a bag of gold fish so maybe this afternoon will be gym time. Have a great day!

Glow and Go: morning routine

IMG_5072IMG_5056

Stores: Sephora, Nordstrom, & Ulta

Good morning beauty babes! Early start this morning, time to glow and go! The first step in ensuring for a youthful and awake look when it feels like you have been hit by a truck is to wash your face. You would think using cold water to wash your face would wake you up right? WRONG! Warm water wakes your skin up and makes your whole face feel alive again. My first step is to use the Purity makeup remover to remove any left over makeup from the day before, next I mix Clinique Facial Soap and Clinique Sparkle Skin Exfoliator on to my Clarisonic brush and start to wash my face. Now my face feel squeaky clean! Next I go in with Estee Lauder Micro Essence water, I swear y’all this stuff removes all the redness from your face and leaves it feeling hydrated. Then I put on the Estee Lauder Pore Minimizer and the DayWare sunscreen and my face is prepped for make up. I love the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, its like  blemishes and redness don’t exist with this little magic wand. I then apply the Hello Flawless pressed powder by Benefit and the L’Oreal voluminous Lash Paradise (Jaclyn Hill’s fav). Now my look is complete and I can hopefully make it to my 8am class in time! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Both my jacket and sweater are on sale at Ann Taylor and my boots I got from DSW last year.

Hey Y’all, this is my favorite look from over the weekend. I stayed very busy this weekend, Friday I helped my roommate, Lesley, get ready for her fraternity formal and later met up with my childhood best friend and went to a concert before she heads off to Australia. Saturday morning was filled with fun, Lesley and I went antique shopping downtown and found this absolutely adorable coffee shop. We later ran some errands to prepare for our Galentine’s Day coming up and got a ton of cute stuff. I hope everyone had a great weekend and a happy Monday (currently avoiding my quantitative methods hw to write this post).
